By the term “box product” we refer to a program version distributed via book or computer shops in a box containing a CD and a little leaflet as manual.
The box products need more time in advance for the production of the physical items like CD, box and leaflet. Thus we usually release an early version for this purpose once it has successfully passed the QA process.
After registration, the most recent version of your Paragon program is available for download in your customer account. During the life cycle of a product, we usually provide several so-called Service Updates. These are intended to fix bugs, provide compatibility with a new operating system or implement additional features necessitated by the technical progress.
For this application area please also consider these KB articles:
The product CDs contain the installers for 32 and 64 bit operating systems. The CDs are bootable and contain a rescue environment. Program CDs up to version 12 (Hard Disk Manager) used to contain the rescue environment based on WinPE. Starting from version 14 the CDs contain the 32 bit Linux based rescue environment.
At any time you may create a more recent rescue environment or a 64 bit Linux or WinPE environment. For this topic please refer to the KB articles “How to create recovery CD/DVD” and “How to create recovery USB flash“.
