“Activation manager not inited” during activation

Scenario

You try to activate the product and receive “Activation manager not inited” error

Solution

1. Please make sure WMI is started, as described in this article: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/wmisdk/starting-and-stopping-the-wmi-service
2. Depending on the Product you have — check if this file is present, and if it is — delete it:

   Linux FS for Windows

   C:\ProgramData\Paragon\LinuxFS for Windows\EXTFS4

   HFS+ for Windows

   C:\ProgramData\Paragon\HFS+ for Windows\HFS11

   APFS for Windows

   C:\ProgramData\Paragon\APFS for Windows\APFS

   This file is Hidden, so make sure you have enabled “Show hidden files, folders, drives” in View – Options – Change folder and search options – View.

3. Then repeat the activation.
4. If the issue still persists, please uninstall the product completely, make sure the corresponding folder in C:\ProgramData\Paragon is deleted and install the software again.
