Firstly, you need to download the installation .DMG file.
You can do it either from your ParagonBox account, or from its official web-page: Microsoft NTFS for Mac by Paragon Software
After the file’s been downloaded, it will appear in Downloads folder (by default).
Double-click on the downloaded .DMG file.
Installation window will appear.
Double click on “Install NTFS for Mac”.
In case it prompts whether to open an application, downloaded from the Internet, click Open.
Read the Software License Agreement by clicking on the link, tick the box if you accept it and click Next.
Please wait, until the installation process is complete, it may take a few minutes.
At the end of the installation process you will be prompted to enable our driver’s components to load.
Since our solution is Kermel Extension (KEXT)-based, you’ll be asked to allow macOS to load them.
If you have Apple Silicon Mac, you’ll be asked to reboot into recoveryOS using these instructions: https://support.apple.com/guide/security/sec7d92dc49f/web
To enter security settings in newer macOS Ventura, go to “Utilities” (Menu bar at the top of the screen) -> “Startup Security Utility”.
For our Kernel Extensions to load, set Policy to “Reduced Security” (our driver is verified by Apple, so we consider this operation as safe) and check only the first box.
Then reboot back into macOS and continue.
If you have Intel Mac, the step above can be skipped, and you’ll be asked to go straight to System Preferences – Security & Privacy to Allow our Extension, as seen on the screenshots shown by the installation wizard:
You will be asked to reboot, so that the Kernel Extenrion is loaded.
After reboot, NTFS for Mac will ask to provide Full Disk Access to “com.paragon-software.ntfsd” component. This is required because this component is a File-System Driver, which works with Disks. It can be done in System Preferences – Security & Privacy (or “Privacy & Security” in newer macOS: https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/mchl211c911f/mac)
Done!
