Scenario: Your system does not boot anymore. Our support agents ask for the logfiles of our software to get an idea about the state of your system.

Our software always writes several log files during operation, also if started from one of the rescue environments. In the log files it logs it’s actions and gathers information about the attached media. To save the log files in the WinPE environment please:
Boot your PC from the rescue environment. Prerequisite is that the boot device is listed before the Windows system disk in the BIOS boot sequence. For UEFI boot usually the feature “Secure boot” has to be disabled in the firmware.
- Start the Full Scale Launcher. If the goal is only to get device information please launch the Full Scale Launcher anyway to make sure the info is gathered.
- Reproduce the problem.
- Finish the Full Scale Launcher by selecting “Home => Exit” from the menu. Alternatively you may clicking into the red cross top right to close the window.
- Click on the tile called “Log Saver”. This wizard will guide you through the process to pack all logs to a zip file on a device like an USB flashdrive. Drive “Boot (X:)” is not an option because this is the temporarily mounted OS drive (RAM disk).
- For our recent programs add your ticket number or your name to the first text field. This will be used as the name for the zip file. Older versions of our programs create a filename automatically.
Attach this zip file to a support request.
