Microsoft has been releasing major Windows updates twice a year since Windows 10 Creators Update (version 1703).
After these major updates, the Windows Product ID changes.
This may lead to some Paragon Software products becoming deactivated as their licenses were linked to the old Windows Product ID upon activation.
If Windows Product ID has been changed, the product ‘thinks’ that it’s been installed on a brand-new PC and becomes Not Activated.
The issue may apply (but not limited) to any software from the following list:
Newer builds of some products use MAC-address of the computer as GUID for linking licenses upon activation. Thus, major Windows updates do not affect the activation as your current MAC-address is determined by the NIC (Network Interface Card) being used and is usually permanent. However, some network cards have a changing MAC-address. It can also change if you switch between connection types, such as LAN and Wi-Fi. In such cases, the solution is to link the license to Windows Product ID. Please contact Paragon Software Support Team if you are experiencing such an issue.
You need to activate your copy of software once again:
This should do the job.
