Error code: 0x800704b3
The network path was either typed incorrectly, does not exist, or the network provider is not currently available. Please try retyping the path or contact your network administrator.
This error appear when user runs .exe\.msi file from HFS+ mounted volume in Windows.
It’s a common error usually appearing when WebClient service is not running:
The alternative workaround is connected with registry editing.
1) Run regedit to enter the registry.
2) Navigate to
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Hfsplus\
And create new key with the name “parameters”
3) In HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Hfsplus\Parameters\
Create new string value with the name “Fake FS Name” – use modify and set Value data to “CDFS” as described in screenshot below.
4) Reboot.
