Scenario: You experience security alerts caused by 7zip files residing in your Paragon program’s folder branch.
Solution 1: The 7zip components are only required for the creation of Linux recovery media. As long as you only create WinPE based media you may easily delete the two 7zip files.
Solution 2: We provided the respective 16.02 version files for download:
7z for Windows 32 Bit: http://ftp.paragon.eu.com/support/KB_downloads/7z/7z_x86.zip
7z for Windows 64 Bit: http://ftp.paragon.eu.com/support/KB_downloads/7z/7z_amd64.zip
You may download and apply the appropriate archive on your own risk. Unpack the zip file to an optional folder. Then move the files 7z.exe and 7z.dll to the program folder of the Recovery Media Builder.
Solution 3: The most recent version of 7zip is available on http://www.7-zip.org/. Download the appropriate version for your operating system. This EXE file is a self-extracting archive with installer functionality. To avoid the installation rightclick the file and use your installed packer utility to extract it to a place of your choice. Then move/copy the files 7z.exe and 7z.dll to the program folder of the Recovery Media Builder. You may want to delete the extracted archive now.
The creation of a Linux Rescue Environment will continue to work successfully and you will not be alerted anymore by your security software.
